Resources to Help You Along The Way

Alzheimers Association 24/7 Helpline

The Alzheimer's Association® 24/7 Helpline 1+ (800) 272-3900 is available around the clock, 365 days a year. Through this free service, specialists and master’s-level clinicians offer confidential support and information to people living with the disease, caregivers, families and the public.

An Easy to Use Online Tool- Click on the Type of Resource then enter your zip code. This is a nationwide search tool. While this can bring up for example Assisted Living Facilities, it is always best to contact the facilities directly to find out more specific information such as do they specialize in memory care.

About this Directory

This directory was born out of a hard copy file that Herb had created with 50 + folders and 200 + articles. Herb knows the subjects that caregivers would be looking for on the Alzheimers dementia journey. I recognized that using this concept for the website would be very efficient. It is like an old school library subject index file but using hyperlinks and the web. Overall it can be faster than a search tool because those often do not return what the person really needs until they try many times.
